Silesia
English
Etymology
Uncertain. Two theories are prominent: a relation to the Germanic Silingi tribe, whose name derives from Ancient Greek Σιλίγγαι (Silíngai) of uncertain further origin, or from Old Slavic ślęg/śląg.
