@Benwing2, @Atitarev Georgiev, Vladimir I., editor (1971), “ако”, in Български етимологичен речник [Bulgarian Etymological Dictionary] (in Bulgarian), volumes 1 (А – З), Sofia: Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Pubg. House, →ISBN, page 7 gives both variants, primary being ако́. The modern secondary а́ко is used more colloquially with a meaning anyways, nevertheless, mainly in Western dialects. It should be added, though, the modern secondary meaning is actually the historical original meaning (e.g. in OCS), thus, the author of RBE may have decided to give that as primary. You can hear the official modern pronunciation in this song: Ако си дал. It's on the second syllable.

PS It has to emphasized that the above holds for the participle/conjugation from *jako. With stress on #a-, i.e. а́ко, the word normally means feces (meaning 3 in RBE) from a dissimilation of *kako, *kaka < PIE *kakka-. Безименен 09:39, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
