The word енэцӀы is to want something very badly. It can be everything like clothes, a girl, food, job, car, gold, etc. It's like a king that buy every object he like for example. It's like to be jealous but the object or the person you want not have to be belong to someone else. Can it be envy?.

Also i need help to translate the examples. Examples :

тигъунэгъум ипшъашъэ сенэцIы
my neighbor (Erg.) his girl (his daughter) I want him/it
"I envy my neighbor's daughter" (In this case I want my neighbor's daughter).
кIалэм иджанэхэмэ санэцIы
boy (Erg.) his clothes I envy them
"I want the boy's clothes" (In this case I want the boy's clothes).
гонэхьым уемнэцӀ
sin (Erg.) don't envy!
"Don't envy the sin (don't envy to do a sin)"

Can someone help me?--Adamsa123 (talk) 09:10, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Desire" might be a good translation, because you can desire something whether someone else has it or not. "lust" usually suggests sexual desire. "envy" suggests disliking someone and wanting what they have. - -sche (discuss) 10:06, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
