Vasmer* gives as cognate βρέφος (bréphos) and गर्भ (garbha), but the latter belongs to another root (gʷelbʰ-) according to the way you’ve sorted it here. Of course, one of the variants given (*gʷl̥bʰ) could render *gʷrebʰ in due time, but I am not to judge PIE consonant shifts and I rather ping @Victar

- I'm not sure where I "sorted" anything, but I think it's a reasonable hypothesis that गर्भ (garbha) is derived from both *gʷelbʰ- and *gʷerbʰ- as the result of a merger. --Victar (talk) 23:10, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
