Russian quotation (FWOTD)

See my imput. I could only cite the senses, but I couldn't find any reference for the etymology. Adding quotes is easy though, @Lingo Bingo Dingo are they needed? Thadh (talk) 19:35, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

@Thadh I didn't intend to RFV the etymology, but verification that it is a coinage would be helpful because I planned to use it for a coinage focus week. A single quotation for one sense is needed so that this can be a WT:FWOTD. (In the context of CFI and FWOTD "cite", "quote" and "quotation" are used interchangeably.) @Lingo Bingo Dingo: Well, while defeatism is not believing in the possibility of winning, sense 3 (if I understand correctly) is people that were arrested in Soviet Russia in the 1940s for spreading the (mis)information that Nazi Germany didn't lose from the USSR (the source mentions these received 10 years in a concentration camp). "defeatist - a person, arrested or convicted for expressing doubt of USSR's victory in the war against Hitler's Germany (1940s). Usually, d[efeatists] received 10 years in concentration camps."
