Just wondering, why does it redirect you to إيطاليا. Is this an alternative spelling or just wrong? Sv.wikt. only has this form so that's why I'm asking.Jonteemil (talk) 09:33, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

@Jonteemil Initial hamzas in Arabic words are usually not written in texts, but the forms with the hamza are considered the strict, or the proper spellings. Wyang (talk) 10:08, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
@Wyang: Ok, Thank you for answering me!Jonteemil (talk) 11:04, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
No problem! Wyang (talk) 13:45, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
Words with hamza over and under alif are also very common and Wyang is right, writing out hamza is a more strict and dictionary style. Unlike diacritics, the use of hamza, dots under ي is a choice of publishers, individuals and regions. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 13:10, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
