Amateur edits and unnecessary rollbacks

The etymology section looks very amateurish and other edits such as hyperlinking جبل and طارق in the headword seems to be done by someone not knowledgeable about how wiktionary works. This page is about a peninsular region thus named and not a mountain (regardless of the presence of any mountain in the region after which it was named so). The person in charge Fenakhay is rollbacking and blocking any attempts to make necessary edits on this page without any valid reason. - Ash wki (talk) 16:57, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

No. The amount of non-sequiturs in your edits is astonishing. Explaining جَبَل طَارِق as جَبَل + طَارِق is basically “no usable content given”. We absolutely link multiword terms in headwords, that’s why it is also done automatically without further ado. And Gibraltar is a peninsula a defining characteristic of which is being mountaineous. There's a whole category page on Arabic compound words: Category:Arabic compound terms. Do take a look. There's a huge difference between a mountainous peninsula and a mountain. A commonly used historical Arabic name for Jerusalem بيت المقدس bayt al-maqdis / bayt al-muqaddas was coined after Solomon's Temple. Just as the city is in no way equal to the بیت bayt / Temple, no way can the peninsula become equal to the جبل jabal / mountain.
