Incorrect linking of form 4 participles to form 2

[edit]

I'm new to wiktionary editing, so I have no idea how to edit properly. The error is here:

Form IV: أَذْكَرَ (ʔaḏkara, “to remind, to call to mind”) Verbal noun: إِذْكَار (ʔiḏkār) Active participle: مُذْكِر (muḏkir) Passive participle: مُذْكَر (muḏkar)

The participles incorrectly redirect to form 2. I assume an entry is required under the https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D9%85%D8%B0%D9%83%D8%B1#Arabic link to include the form 4 participles of the verb?

Please clarify. Kentoseth (talk) 22:22, 31 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Kentoseth: Exactly. Nobody has gotten around to create it, since derived forms are not the focus of human editors, but you might. The links to form II and form IV participles must be the same, given that they are homographic. Fay Freak (talk) 00:24, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is there a place I can learn how?
I don't want to do it incorrectly. Kentoseth (talk) 23:17, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Kentoseth: I encourage you to do it anyway. Worst that can happen is that you are reverted. You only need to put the templates right, by taking others as models—e.g. مُشَمَّع (mušammaʕ)—, and give reasonable meanings. There is also WT:About Arabic for more examples. You can double-check with Arabic bilingual dictionaries by root. With due diligence all beginners make what is in hindsight mistakes anyway. Fay Freak (talk) 03:21, 22 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
