@Barytonesis I don't think this is citable. Only 2 Google books results in Hindi. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 20:42, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@AryamanA: Inflected forms included? Your ping didn't come through btw. --Barytonesis (talk) 20:47, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Barytonesis: Nope, none at all. Seems to be a neologism that never caught on. Even the ultra-purist Hindi Wikipedia has डायनासोर (ḍāynāsor). —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 20:53, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Too bad, you know how I like calques :p --Barytonesis (talk) 20:57, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA, Barytonesis: Interestingly, I'm seeing things like this: "हिन्दी में डायनासोर शब्द का अनुवाद भीमसरट है जिसका संस्कृत में अर्थ भयानक छिपकली है", "हिंदी में डायनासोर का अर्थ भीमसरट है", "भीमसरट- भीमसरटगण रक्ताश्म युग से खटीयुत युग तक जीवित रहे और अब सब लुप्त हो चुके हैं" (what is this one even saying tho), and even one Marathi hit: "डायनोसॉर किंवा भीमसरट, स्मायलोडॉन किंवा कट्यारदंती वाघ, वूली मॅमथ किंवा केसाळ हत्ती, डोडो पक्षी, वगैरे". Agreed none of these are in books, but it's not entirely uncitable either. DerekWinters (talk) 21:42, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@DerekWinters: But the first two Hindi ones are mentions, not uses, and so is the Marathi one. The third Hindi one would would work if we figured out what it meant lol. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 23:24, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
