@Sarri.greek As you've noticed, there's a problem with the transliteration of polytonic Modern Greek. This is because Module:el-translit doesn't have any value for ἀ ἑ ῶ, etc. It's been made with monotonic Greek in mind only.

That's one of the reasons why I refrain from adding anything in polytonic; we simply don't have the infrastructure yet. --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 18:25, 5 March 2018 (UTC) ¨Reply

Thank you FX @Per utramque cavernam:. How nice to see you. No, I did not notice the transliteration problem. (I never look at them they look so bad to my ear). But there is now a problem with ancient translit. too (it does something weird with varia-vowεls). All greek lemmata will eventually get SOME info on polytonic script too. Visitors need the polytonic type (from old books, poetry especially, autographs etc). I will put tr=- from now on, or I will do it manually. Hope there is no Wiktionary-objection to it.
As for Medieval Greek: I have a problem with its placing under Ancient.., templates refuse most of the med or byz parameters... My hands are tied. Can you advise me on this? sarri.greek (talk) 20:38, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
