癥狀 or 症狀 also didn't exist in Middle Chinese (as far as I can tell). I think it's better to create a {{ja-etym-sino}}, similar to {{ko-etym-sino}} and {{vi-etym-sino}}. Wyang (talk) 07:32, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
