Phrase pronunciations[edit]

@Wyang Frank, shouldn't that be /a̠nɲjʌ̹ŋʝi ga̠sʰe̞jo/ instead, even if these are two words separated by a space? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:03, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

It is unvoiced unless in very fast speech. Normally the phrase is pronounced as if it's composed of two words. This Youtube clip might be helpful. Wyang (talk) 11:03, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the link and for the explanation. After posting I heard the phrase 어디 거야? (without any pause) and it was a clear /k/, which confirmed that this IPA is right. It doesn't hurt asking, anyway :) I'm currently using Jenny's Korean language videos, such as this and attending a once a week night class. --Anatoli T. That link seems to be very good, thanks. You are very dedicated! Wyang (talk) 01:09, 15 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I should spend more time learning than adding contents here :) but it helps me memorise words a bit and I can use Wiktionary to come back to those words. Yeah, Jenny's Korean language videos seem to be the most vocabulary and grammar intensive Korean videos, less crap, more focused on the language teaching. And I also found a PDF file with all the terms used in videos. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:14, 15 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
