Finnish: head word is gestapo (lowercase)

Striking. Finnish section has been moved to "gestapo". German "Gestapo" as referring to a particular organization is a proper noun, and is so marked up. --Dan Polansky 10:09, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Seems to have some use; appears in some dictionaries. Might be either any secret police force of this kind, or (erroneously?) an individual member of the Gestapo. Equinox ◑ 22:25, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
Pronunciation[edit]
Why is it commonly pronounced with s rather than sh? At least in German, I thought "st" should be pronounced "sht". Moreover, Gestapo is "Geheime Staatspolizei", Staat is pronounced Shtaat. Is there any reference on how it was originally pronounced?
