User:DCDuring, Pucciniastraceae seems to disagree. Equinox 21:27, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I go with the better kingdom-, phylum-, or class-specific sources when there is disagreement, MycoBank in this case, but IOC for birds; POWO, APG, and Tropicos for plants; MoW for mammals; WoRMS for marine life; NCBI for pathogens, protists, and chromists; ICTV for viruses; LPSN for bacteria. When I have time I add Catalog of Life, ITIS, IRMNG, EoL, and NCBI to get confirmation. DCDuring (talk) 21:38, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

User:DCDuring: there seems to have been a Urediniopsis as well. Is that an old synonym perhaps? Equinox 09:20, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Urediniopsis not found at MycoBank or ION. No incoming links to that page or this. DCDuring (talk) 12:12, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There is no fungus genus Uredinia, Uredinius, or Uredinium from which Urediniopsis could have been properly formed. There is however the similarly misformed family name Urediniaceae which however does not seem to have been accepted. DCDuring (talk) 14:18, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
