I'm not sure if the last two senses can be shown to be distinct or not: "of or relating to an apocalypse (a disaster)" and "portending a future apocalypse (disaster, devastation or doom)". - -sche (discuss) 04:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Additional noun usage[edit]
There seems to have been an additional noun usage, e.g. "Apocalyptic has been shown to be an eddy aside from the main stream of Judaism, which was legalistic and similar to that which was articulated in the rabbinical writings." from Donald W.
