RFV-sense "hot". The only uses of "he was ard", "it was ard" I can find use it as an aitch-dropping form of "hard": "he was 'ard of hearin'", "it was ard, real tough", etc. - -sche (discuss) 19:27, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
