boil down[edit]

Keeping boil down and deleting or redirecting boil down to would include a larger number of the occurrences of the core expression. On COCA, the core expression, boil down, occurs very often with "to" (ie, c 90%), but can occur in this figurative sense without "to". Also it seems to have both a transitive and an intransitive sense, again both with and without "to". Given the high frequency of "to", usually with "to" would be warranted on both the transitive and intransitive senses. DCDuring TALK 11:22, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
