any identifiable meaning in bulk bill? --Backinstadiums (talk) 14:44, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Backinstadiums: I am not sure but it seems logical that it would be the sense of doing something at scale or in large amounts (same as e.g. "shipping goods in bulk") since the doctor would be able to bill the government for many patients at one time. Equinox ◑ 14:50, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
chemistry adj.
[edit]Cluster n. sense 1.2 links here: "An ensemble of bound atoms (especially of a metal) or molecules, intermediate in size between a molecule and a bulk solid." I understand this perfectly well — a lot of physical chemistry is about how things behave differently in bulk phases vs. at interfaces — but I don't think it's adequately covered by either of the adjective senses presently provided. 207.180.169.36 04:56, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
