@DCDuring Wikipedia's Buchnera americana says this refers to that plant too (confusingly, since it doesn't place it in the genus of this name). Equinox ◑ 16:59, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

It looks like some contemporary online references may be copying WP. I don't see usage, though Bupleurum and Buchnera appear on the same page in Google searches, that seems to be because they are close in alphabetical order.
