  • This is a situation similar to sturddlefish and Wuhan shake. There was some press coverage in response to an event and nothing since, and the word is less than a year old. You can find multiple reports[1][2] to arguably complete the trilogy of uses. I'm hesitant to say these are independent of the paper they are reporting on, and I'm hesitant to say the small amount of press coverage is enough to make cassiosome a hot word.
