There might be a figurative sense, for example. DTLHS (talk) 18:13, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, very definitely this is often used figuratively. I think we need an entry for the figurative meaning, and then the SOP meaning can be "&lit". (I don't understand why the literal meaning needs to be "outdoor", by the way.) Mihia (talk) 18:50, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I would relate a cattle market with outdoors, finding a building big enough could be a problem. Compare also with saleyard. DonnanZ (talk) 19:03, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think there are plenty of indoor cattle markets: https://www.google.co.uk/search?tbm=isch&q=indoor+cattle+market , https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/indoor-cattle-market.html . Mihia (talk) 20:32, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I wasn't aware of that. Some of those buildings seem to be bigger than the trainshed at Waterloo. DonnanZ (talk) 21:41, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Kept – has a figurative sense. Canonicalization (talk) 16:33, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
