“Any such gathering in the Celtic diaspora.” (referring to the first def: “An Irish or Scottish informal social gathering where traditional folk music is played, with dancing and storytelling.”)

This doesn’t strike me as an actual separate sense. Unless the usage of ceilidh is similar to that of anime, where some folks don’t accept use the word in reference to exactly the same concept coming from outside of a given country. If necessary, the first definition can be reworded in a way that associates it with Irish and Scottish culture rather than territory more unambiguously. — Ungoliant ^(falai) 12:11, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
