rough cull[edit]

Something to do with the culling of trees, and (separately) the culling of oysters. Chambers 1908 has a verb: "rough-cull, v.t. to cull oysters hastily". There were rough-cull laws controlling this. Equinox 11:32, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
