Given the etymology, doesn't this term imply that the information is handled using computer technology, and not e.g. by spoken word alone? Equinox 12:26, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In the cited paper he focuses on information ("information as power") but also mentions that "information technology" is required for this to work. Maybe the def needs tweaking a bit. – Jberkel 12:41, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
