derian v. deore[edit]

In dear#etymology 1 it mentions dere being derived from deore. Now on derian it mentions coming from darjan from dara which are West Proto-Germanic. Deore lists coming from deurjaz which is also listed as Proto-Germanic (though it does not indicate West).

It is hard to target since there seems to be a lack of information, but I am wondering if perhaps the roots listed for these conflicting informations, deurjaz and dara, could be related in some way. I am sort of doubtful due to the more dramatic difference in construction. What would be a good source for making this consistent? Ty 10:46, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Transitive noun?[edit]

In the article, the noun dere is indicated as transitive. Transitivity is a property of verbs, not of nouns as far as I know.Redav (talk) 14:54, 30 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I removed it. I suspect someone simply copied over the context tag from the verb and forgot to remove the "transitive" part. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 10:21, 1 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
