I suspect this is either wrongly formed or a misspelling of "eremitic". The pronunciation does not fit and would seem to be an attempt at "eremitic". No entries in onelook.com other than Wiktionary's. — Paul G (talk) 15:51, 1 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

cited There are certainly plenty of instances out there, even when I confined myself to the time period before 2007 when the Wiktionary definition was added. I DID change it to be an alternative form of eremitic, which makes more sense. If someone wants to change it to "misspelling of", that would be okay as well, but it seems common enough to deserve at least a "misspelling" entry. Kiwima (talk) 20:48, 1 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
