Possible wider sense[edit]

Might possibly have a wider sense along the lines of "doing the correct, expected thing". You can see an example in the ZX Spectrum demoscene demo Shock, where the Sam Coupé is described as having "good manners" that the Spectrum doesn't — meaning something like better programmability because it is more consistent or more standards-compliant.
