Why was this redirected?[edit]

Why was this redirected when, for example, he2 was not? 204.11.189.94 13:22, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'll redirect all of them eventually to avoid duplication, so that we have to maintain just one set of pinyin. Stop adding attention flag, there's no problem here. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 21:53, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Attention tags are certainly needed--some rather important ones have been ignored for up to 7 years at a time. I have been told, firmly, over a period of many years, "We don't do redirects at Wiktionary." 173.89.236.187 00:22, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We DO redirects. You can't type "", here you go, enter "he2" and it will take you there, can't type Москва, enter Mockba - but people have different views on redirects. No-one is going to support numbered pinyin, even toned pinyin lacks enough support - they are done and forgotten as it should be with indices. For general or policy issues, post on WT:BP (choose current month). No wonder, the way you mark your questions are ignored - you can't find a better place for asking them (now I have to remember that I need to come back to this page for any answers?). Besides, no-one can identify you. You've been here for years but still post anonymously. No-one knows if it's worth answering you. Who knows if you check answers, have a Watchlist and if you come you will use the same IP-address? Choose a safe name and register, you'll get more respect, even if you're mainly a user, not a contributor. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 00:47, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
