Alternative form of take a nap
, which is defined as To sleep briefly.
SOP: have (“to undertake or perform”) + a nap (“a short period of sleep, especially one during the day”). Theknightwho (talk) 01:33, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
- Make sure it's listed in Appendix:DoHaveMakeTake and then hard-redirect to the bare noun.—msh210℠ (talk) 10:21, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
- Delete as SoP. — Sgconlaw (talk) 20:50, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Regarding these constructions, what’s your opinion on the alternative forms using take? They’re equally SoP. ·~ dictátor·mundꟾ 23:11, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- So if it's totally interchangeable with have then I'd say they're both SOP. Certain nouns seem to favour one over the other, and sometimes the implication might be different, but I think they're just collocations at the end of the day: Appendix:Collocations of do, have, make, and take seems to cover these well. - Redirected per msh (I am going to assume this is acceptable to the delete !voters; at least, it is to me). - -sche (discuss) 23:49, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
- Stupid. Should have been kept. What of it now. --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:30, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
