This entry gives the false impression that "have another think coming" is the original phrase. The saying "If you think that, you have another think coming" is a play on words based on the original "have another thing coming". 04:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

I believe "have another think coming" is the original phrase, from either Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass, a play on her saying she thinks something. Tormod 15:20, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

The phrase "have another think" dates from before 1867. It appeared in Tom Sawyer not long after. Maybe that should be an entry. DCDuring TALK 02:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
As a native speaker of English, I have never heard "another think coming", only "another thing coming". Indeed, the former phrase sounds downright strange to me. ---> Tooironic (talk) 03:13, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
