I define this as "one who hobbles"

That could mean : one who walks slowly, unsteadily, haltingly (who has a hobble).

It could also mean one who causes someone or something to hobble (causes a hobble). I don't know if this is justified.

I can also imaging a hobbler being a device (like a shackle or legiron) that is used to restrain motion to a hobble. I can't prove there is such a device.

It sounds like a rare word but it has 29,000 googgles (some as a name). RJFJR 18:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
