All those quotations from L. Frank Baum

I question the appropriateness of having so many quotations from the same author. Surely the quotations, if they are to verify the accepted usage of a sense, should reflect a diversity of authoritative sources, drawn from authors well separated in time and (if possible) even in distance. -- WikiPedant 22:15, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Did someone happen to have the digital text of this and pick out every occurrence? I'm going to remove all but one of Baum's for each sense; if we then find ourselves so quotationally impoverished that we need more, I'm sure Google Books will oblige. Equinox 22:29, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
