My Hebrew is not good enough to merit being pinged for it, but I don't see what this could have come from. @Mnemosientje? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:34, 18 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

The word I know and would use for "debt" is חוב or some other derivation from the same source, but that doesn't seem to match. Honestly I have no idea. — Mnemosientje (t · c) 10:08, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
The source mention a hybrid vernacular form, ("una lingua ibrida fra ebraico e vernacolo") so probably not obvious. Thanks anyway! – Jberkel 10:38, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
If it's from Judeo-Romanesco then it isn't necessarily from Hebrew. The source I found said it was from "dal giudeo-romanesco inghibbi", which means that it's Judeo-Italian, not that it's Hebrew. Isaacmayer9 (talk) 04:09, 7 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
