I believe that the definition of a loop in graph theory context given here is false. It should not only relate to directed graphs, as far as I understand it. If there will be no protest, I'll fix it soon. Peleg 00:12, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Etymology[edit]
Please do not be misled by other dictionary etymological interpretations, since the rendering on the main page is the most logical and likely. Although LOOPS (Scottish for "meandering river" is certainly from Celtic *LŪB (bend); I do not believe that it applies to the Southern usage. Andrew H. Gray 09:15, 10 May 2016 (UTC) Andrew (talk)
