An archaic or obsolete spelling of "pedantry", surely? The current definition makes it sound like a variant that's equally valid. All but the most p(a)edantic spellcheckers and dictionaries would insist on the ped- form these days. — 146.179.8.133 15:27, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
