Possible missing obsolete slang sense[edit]

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) defines piper as "a person employed by an omnibus proprietor to act as a spy on the conductor". Couldn't find uses in Google Books. Equinox 00:59, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
