Ancient Roman Board-game

I came across this board-game after looking into the board-game fidchell (aka gwyddbwyll) online.

Could anybody look for the sense of the Ancient Roman board-game?

@Apisite: Thank you for asking me. But I searched for "game of rota" and "played rota" and I found nothing useful (just some fantasy novels). I think that may be an interesting modern game, but not very well known, and probably not a real ancient game at all. Equinox ◑ 10:19, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
