I was serious when I took space invader out of synonyms and into related terms. Real aliens are possible and serious scientists at SETI and other places are looking for them. What will happen if real aliens with a superior technology ever land here and we treat them as hostile before they have shown their intentions? If they weren’t hostile before they could be hostile afterwards and that could be a death sentence for humanity. Proxima Centauri 17:17, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

We're concerned with lexicography, not (interstellar) political correctness. There is an overlap in meaning, so it's a synonym.
