Adjectival form[edit]

The page should include the adjectival form of the word. It would be great if someone could find it and add it. Nschoem 02:30, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bad Example[edit]

If a definition is part for whole, then an example whole for part is poorly fitted to the definition. If a cheetah(subclass) is a cat(class) and cat(whole) is used to refer to cheetah(part), it is not synecdoche. 24.165.146.117 21:42, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fair point. There are enough other examples anyway. I just removed it. :) - -sche (discuss) 23:58, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Clicking on the Download icon doesn't work[edit]

In the Pronunciation section, if I click on MENU and then on the Download icon nothing happens. I've tried this with Firefox, Chrome and Edge and none of them work, the audio file isn't downloaded. Please fix.

We don't have any control over the audio player, and I have no idea what's wrong with it. Perhaps it requires some resource that doesn't exist here. If you want to download the file, click on the filename link you see when you click MENU, which will take you to the page for the file at Wikimedia Commons. There's a download link there that works. I ended up downloading the OGG file from from Wikimedia Commons in the end, but this still needs fixing. Who DOES have control over the audio player? Do you have an email address for them?
