- Target is NOT an spanish word, and is only use as a technical term in the marketing world. The Spanish equivalent of target is Objetivo.

The word "source", under related terms? Someone needs to explain what this nonsense is about.Scotty Zebulon 00:02, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Relates to a sense we didn't have, and should have been under "coordinate terms", I think. Attempted to clarify. -- Visviva 01:28, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Transitive: 1. set up as a target 2. direct toward a target

[edit]

Cebuano. @Carl Francis. I don't know how an English term would be borrowed directly into Cebuano in the absence of any other Philippine language. Kwékwlos (talk) 22:41, 10 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Of all the recent RFD's, this one stands out as the most believable since this word has also been borrowed into other languages. It is in the linked dictionary with senses much as our entry claims it has, although the dictionary spells it as targit. Is this a matter of two different spelling standards, or should we change the spelling of our entry? In any case, I cant be of any help in finding citations, let alone citations for all five senses, but it seems wholly reasonable to me. Best regards, Soap 18:20, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
