I tried looking for uses for thew, an alternative spelling of theow ("(obsolete except historical) a bondman or bondwoman; a slave"), but could not find any. All the modern English examples in the OED use the spelling theow. — SGconlaw (talk) 16:04, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
