Tombstoning is not a noun. There may be a better way to present this, but such a basic error simply brings Wiktionary into disrepute.

Why do you think it's not 'used' as a noun? You insist on your point, yet you make no effort at explaining why. Ultimateria has explained in the edit summary why this is considered a noun. Unless you have a better explanation, then further edit warring will cause your IP to be blocked. And no, this won't bring WT into disrepute; this is just the unfortunate opinion of one individual. A noun is a word for an object, a thing. None of the words suggested by Ultimateria are things - I made that point in my comments on the reversion. Most words in English which end in -ing are verbs. They describe actions. Tombstning is a word which describes an action, hence it is a verb. — This unsigned comment was added by 110.142.121.47 (talk) at 02:27, 5 June 2012 (UTC).[reply]

You are wrong, and blocked for edit warring. :p 50 Xylophone Players talk 02:27, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are wrong constitutes a reason, but an explanation of the meaning of noun does not? What is your definition of "noun"?

You might want to read w:Noun for a general overview of what a noun is, especially where it says, quote: ...occur as the main word in the subject of a clause, the object of a verb, or the object of a preposition..JamesjiaoTC 02:51, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
