Adjective

[edit]

Does the adjective definition I added a while ago count as an attributive noun? I just learned the policy for those, and am unsure how inclusive it is. JodianWarrior (talk) 02:13, 3 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it does. There are ways to test for a real adjective, though they aren't airtight. For instance, is it quantifiable? That is, can you say "That vase is more trefoil than the other one." or ask "How trefoil is that vase?" Another is predicate usage: can you say "That vase is trefoil"? Thanks. Should the definition be removed then? JodianWarrior (talk) 20:14, 3 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yeah. I've moved the "trefoil jug" citation to the appropriate noun sense. Equinox 22:57, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
