What kind of turning?[edit]

Our def suggests that this is a point when a directional turn occurs, i.e. a reversal or deviation. But Chambers 1908's def is "the point on which a question turns, and which decides the case: a grave and critical period", i.e. a sense of turn more akin to hinge. This would be good to clarify in the etymology or elsewhere. Equinox 03:11, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
