This template is designed for the lemma of all Spanish nouns. Only use this template for the noun's lemma entry (usually the singular). For non-lemma forms, or additional style information, see Wiktionary:About Spanish.

Usage

This template should be placed in all Spanish noun sections, immediately following the ===Noun=== section header. It provides the inflection line for the entry. The template also automatically categorizes the entry in Category:Spanish nouns and any appropriate Spanish noun subcategories (e.g. Category:Spanish uncountable nouns).

As with other Wiktionary inflection templates, please do not use subst:.

Parameters

|head= The headword, if different from the page name, or to link to individual words {{PAGENAME}}
|1= The gender. It accepts m, f, m-p, f-p, m-f / mf, or m-f-p / mfp Required
|g2= An additional gender. Required
|2= The plural form:
  • When it is specified as -, the noun is given as uncountable. A plural can still be given if the noun is normally uncountable, but sometimes countable.
  • When it is specified as ~, the noun is given as either uncountable or countable.
  • When it is left empty, or is specified as ~ without an explicit plural given, the module will generate a plural based on |head= or the page title. The plural is generated according to standard Spanish rules, e.g. personapersonas, varónvarones, raízraíces, etc.

|pl2=, |pl3=, ... Additional plurals No default, only used when specified
|f=, |f2=, |f3=, ... Feminine form(s) No default, only used when specified. Automatically causes appropriate feminine plurals to be generated if not already given. Use + to request the default feminine form of the headword.
|fpl=, |fpl2=, |fpl3=, ... Feminine plural(s) Default based on the specified feminine(s), if any
|m=, |m2=, |m3=, ... Masculine form(s) No default, only used when specified. Automatically causes appropriate masculine plurals to be generated if not already given. Use + to request the default masculine form of the headword.
|mpl=, |mpl2=, |mpl3=, ... Masculine plural(s) Default based on the specified masculine(s), if any
