Semi automated plurals?

[edit]

@Benwing2:

Hi. I'd like to check the feasibility with you and request in a future feature for nouns, which are forming plurals in a regular way:

Specify plurals with optional |haa=, |aan=, |yaan= or |aat= to automatically add ها (-hâ), ـان (-ân), یان (-yân), or ـات (-ât) to the base. There could be more than one plural. They are currently automatically transliterated, if the translit of the main word is not comma-separated (otherwise maybe split into multiple heads?).

ها (-hâ) needs a zero-width non-joiner for the final letters, which are normally joined, such as ب, plural کتاب‌ها (ketâb-hâ) and nothing for non-joining letters such as ر, plural شیرها (šir-hâ).

The current template is not modularised. It may only be a long-term idea. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 07:07, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
