Compare with Biblical Hebrew אֲרָרָט (ʾărɔrɔ́ṭ, “Ararat”), Old Armenian Այրարատ (Ayrarat, “Ayrarat”) and Ancient Greek Ἀλαρόδιοι (Alaródioi).

In the Akkadian version of the Behistun Inscription, Akkadian Uraštu corresponds to Old Persian 𐎠𐎼𐎷𐎡𐎴 (a-r-mi-i-n /Armina/, “Armenia”).
