Hi! We use pīnyīn as our primary romanisation system here, and the Chinese entries display other romanisation (for various topolects, etc) in the entries. Please do not change any more of these. 谢谢!—Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:54, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, that's Hanyu pinyin, which is the official standard just about everywhere, not Tongyong pinyin. I can understand why you might want to make a political statement, but that violates a basic wiki principle, which is to maintain a neutral point of view. What's more, our templates are designed around Hanyu pinyin, so changing the romanization can mess up a number of things. Please see WT:AZH for more details. 山脈 and 什麼
[edit]I'm not sure what you're doing; 山脈 is not the simplified form of 山脈, and 甚麼 is not the simplified form of 什麼. —suzukaze (t・c) 01:10, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
These websites all say shānmài:
Do you have any proof for your reading? —suzukaze (t・c) 03:01, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- Please note that I have left your "mo4" reading on the entry for now. If you do not provide substantial evidence soon I will remove it again.
- Per this older discussion, it seems to be valid, if exceedingly rare and highly unusual. While I am not pleased with our edit warring and will leave "shanmo" alone, please stop removing the very valid "shanmai" and changing the simplified form to the incorrect "山脈". —suzukaze (t・c) 04:47, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
