I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. We certainly need someone on that side of the Atlantic recording audio files!

You might also consider recording some of the UK-specific expressions listed in Category:UK. I record audio as well from time to time, but there are some words for which I won't ever record an audio file. This is primarily because there are some words we Americans just don't use over here (like bugger!). However, I did go ahead and record pootle, because it was scheduled to be Word of the Day and we usually want a sound file for those. --EncycloPetey 00:03, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

European pronunciations[edit]

I have no idea why, but most of our British speaking contributors are incredibly microphone-shy. So, you are very welcome to start adding them!

In case you missed it, we do have Category:Requests for audio pronunciation.

And, if you feel like downloading the Shtooka recorder, you can attack User:Dvortygirl/Gutenberg.
