• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy documenting how Wiktionary pages should be formatted. All entries should conform to this standard. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing page for a similar word, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Our Criteria for inclusion (CFI) define exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary, though it may be a bit technical and longwinded. The most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• The FAQ aims to answer most of your remaining questions, and there are several help pages that you can browse for more information.
• A glossary of our technical jargon, and some hints for dealing with the more common communication issues.
• If you have anything to ask about or suggest, we have several discussion rooms. Feel free to ask any other editors in person if you have any problems or question, by posting a message on their talk page.

Min Nan Additions

Hi, welcome to Wiktionary! Thanks for your edits so far on Philippine Hokkien dialectal tables. I have some questions on where you get the terms you're putting in. Is it based on personal knowledge? @Kamkamkamuti hmmmm, u sure? could've sworn a lot of the stuff posted there is consistent with some stuff here in wiktionary and wikipedia. some of the stuff you edited before, they also brought it up. Anyways, Happy New Year!! btw, we have an fb group and groupchat where many other filchi from all over the country are in (mostly millennials and gen Z and a few gen X and some boomers, mostly from the country's usual major cities, Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, and some from CDO, Zamboanga, Bicol region, Bacolod, Sulu, etc.). marvin and justinrleung are there too. Different users there also exhibit different pronunciations as to their family's Ph Hokkien and someone there also confirmed some of the terms posted about in that IG page that I wondered about, but that they also naturally used in their family of course. Many, of course, have family with roots to Jinjiang, Nan'an (Coastal & Highland), Shishi, Xiamen, and sometimes maybe Zhangzhou or Taiwan, and etc. We also have someone from Taiwan that has been into this Hokkien stuff for almost 20 years or so. He knows stuff about characters that Wiktionary might not talk about as much. We have a handful as well na filchi who really work to teach Hokkien and Mandarin as Chinese teachers as their job (these days online), of course they're there to learn as well since they usually don't have much online resources for Hokkien. If ever interested, here is the FB group and then the pinned post there is how to get in the groupchat. The groupchat is the more active one than the group itself. It's a nice place to ask anything Ph Hokkien-related or other filchi things there to other filchi, especially if one is unsure about something or need to confirm it with other families or one's family really lacks certain terms or whatever it may be. If it's too active, you can always mute it or hide it temporarily from your messenger by pressing Archive chat. We have a Discord as well for voicechat if ever. I think every night (PH time), someone's there to talk in the voicechat, but most people are in the FB groupchat at the very least, since you know, FB being the popular social media here in ph.
